FOLSOM POINT AWARDED CHAIRPERSON'S AWARD
August 29, 2003
(Boulder, CO) - Nicky Lee, CEO of Folsom Point, Inc., was awarded the 2003 Chairperson's Award at the Rocky Mountain Minority Supplier Development Council's Festival of Trade Awards luncheon held August 22. Jerome Davis of Xcel Energy presented the award to Lee in recognition for excellence in leadership and dedication to the mission of the Rocky Mountain Council.
"Nicky gives her energy and enthusiasm to the Council in a meaningful way. As Chair of the Education Committee, she demonstrated her vision and leadership by creating new programs that are now being shared throughout other Councils around the country," said Davis, Community Service Manager at Xcel Energy and Chair of the Council Board. "The results speak for themselves. She is indeed committed to the mission, ideals and programs of the Council."
"Receiving this award was an unexpected honor. Two years ago, we joined the Council and like others, wondered what the Council could do for us. The truth is that in order to achieve supplier diversity and revenue goals, each of us - corporate members and minority business enterprises alike - must give back to organizations like the Council. That is a sure way to make a difference," said Lee. "The adage is true, you receive by giving."
