FOLSOM POINT TO SERVE ON EDUCATION COMMITTEE

(Boulder, CO) - Nicky Lee, CEO of Folsom Point, Inc., has agreed to serve on the Education Committee of the Rocky Mountain Minority Supplier Diversity Council. The Rocky Mountain council is a 26-year old, non-profit organization composed of over 100 corporations and government entities, and over 250 minority-owned businesses in the Rocky Mountain region. Headquartered in Denver, Colorado, the Rocky Mountain council is one of 40 regional councils affiliated with the National Minority Supplier Development Council. The national and regional councils provide increased procurement and business opportunities for minority businesses of all sizes. Corporate members include most of America's largest publicly- and privately-owned companies, as well as universities, hospitals, and other buying institutions.
The Education Committee of the council organizes and oversees educational seminars specifically designed for corporate members and certified minority businesses. In addition, the committee helps corporate managers start new supplier diversity programs, and refine existing programs. In addition to the council's own educational programs, the council sponsors scholarship programs including the E.E. Van Stee Scholarship for the University of Wisconsin Program, the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, and the Amos Tuck Program at Dartmouth.
"The Council has a lot to offer its corporate and MBE members, and education is a critical component. I'm excited to lend my energy toward new ideas and valuable training programs. I can't think of a better way for me to make a difference and to empower fellow MBEs than by participating in the Education Committee," commented Lee.
