FOLSOM POINT GUIDES NEW PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT

(Boulder, CO) - Over the past two months, strategic consulting firm Folsom Point has worked with Turquoise Technology, a Boulder-based start-up company, to identify customer needs in order to guide the development of its ContentCube™ product.
The ContentCube is a network appliance designed to capture, store and manage large amounts of digital content including audio, video and graphic files. As businesses increase their use of digital content, creative professionals are spending one to two hours per day just searching for and managing digital files. This results in reduced worker productivity.
"With production beginning later this year, we needed to figure out what features were critical to include in the first release," said Jim Phillips, Vice President of Engineering at Turquoise Technology. "By relying on Folsom Point's marketing expertise and local agency contacts, we gained valuable insight into the day-to-day realities of digital content storage and retrieval. This research helped us prioritize product functionality so that we were creating a product that would actually answer a business need."
Folsom Point conducted over 25 one-on-one interviews with regional companies and completed an extensive competitive analysis of products and services offered by software vendors, service providers and hardware vendors.
